The new-gen MG Hector has been making rounds of the Internet since August this year when MG Motors India had official teased the model. Soon after that, a series of images of the interior were leaked making people even more excited for the updated SUV and its features. It was being said that it would be launched in 2022, but we have recently learnt that it will make its debut in India on 5 January, 2023. Here’s what all you can expect from the this car.
Exterior of new-gen MG Hector
The new-gen MG Hector will rule over other models with a revised front fascia with a chrome-laden grille. Interestingly, it’s larger and comes with a new hexagonal design along with the Super cool diamond-shaped chrome inserts. Even as the bumper design is changed, the main headlight unit still remains lower on the bumper.
The chrome-heavy grille will be complimented by LED DRLs on either side. There are huge chances that the model will witness some necessary changes like a new alloy wheel pattern. We can expect new tail lamps and a rear bumper as well.
Interior new-gen MG Hector
MG had showcased the interior of the car and it inclueded a 14-inch touchscreen, ADAS technology and more. Both the upper and lower sections of the dashboard have now been separated by an insert section while the latter has the air-con vents. Moreover, both sections feature soft-touch materials with double stitching.
Engine and Gearbox
MG has not yet officially announced about the engine options that it would offer but most probably the new Hector will continue with the Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre diesel and the 1.5-litre petrol mills which are in the current model. This also includes the hybrid models along with the current transmission options.
