According to news agency PTI, at the event, Chouhan said, “In about a month, 5G mobile services will be rolled out in the country, which will have a multiplier effect on the development of all sectors. A 6G Technology Innovation Group has also been set up, which is dedicated to the indigenous Working towards the development of 6G stack.”
The report says that according to Chouhan, the government is promoting indigenously designed, developed and manufactured advanced telecom technology, and this has led to a strong domestic 5G mobile communication ecosystem in India today. He said, “We have developed a completely indigenous 5G test bed, which will facilitate the testing of 5G network elements. By the end of this year, we will be able to roll out the 5G network in India, indigenously developed and manufactured. We are likely to look at the 5G stack.”
