Features of the new Toyota Innova Hybrid
The new Toyota Innova Hybrid offers features such as an electric tailgate, multi-color ambient lighting, LED lighting system, 360-degree camera, and soft-touch finishes on the dashboard and other interior panels. The MPV comes with Toyota Safety Sense, which offers features such as a pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane-tracking assistance and automatic high beams.
It is known that the Indonesian model will be called the new Innova Xenix. The Indian spec model is called the new Innova HyCross to match the new Urban Cruiser Hyryder (Hy stands for hybrid). The next-generation Innova is based on a new monocoque platform with a front-wheel drive setup instead of the traditional ladder frame chassis and RWD layout. The wheelbase is 2,860mm, which is 100mm longer than the previous model.
The new Innova’s hybrid powertrain setup includes an electric motor and a petrol engine with an electric battery. The MPV will most likely come with a 2.0L gasoline hybrid system or a 1.8L hybrid setup. Companies can use a localized version of the Toyota Hybrid System II (THS II) configured with a twin-motor setup for high ‘step-off’ torque and fuel economy.
Prior to delivery, the new Toyota Innova Hybrid will go on sale in the Indonesian market in early November 2022. In fact, dealers have already began to get advanced reservations for new models with a token amount of Rp. 15 million (approx INR 80,000). As of price it is not confirmed so stay tuned!
