Mumbai to get 12 EV charging stations set up by MSEDCL

Navi Mumbai: Due to the rise of electric vehicles (EVs), Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has installed 12 EV charging stations in Navi Mumbai. Charging costs are lower than those at private electric vehicle charging stations. They are installed on major roads for easy access for motorists.

This decision is due to an increasing demand for EV charging stations in cities.

“We want easy, affordable access for drivers to recharge their electric vehicles. We plan to install a few more EV charging stations in the city,” said Rajaram Mane, MSEDCL Vashi Department Superintendent Engineer.

Charging stations have been installed at Raghuleela Mall Substation in Sector 30 near Vashi Railway Station, Kharghar Substation in Sector 2, Sector 19E Substation near Galleria Mall on Vashi Palm Beach road, Sector 15 Airoli Substation, Pawane MIDC, Sector 8. Rabale MIDC Substation, Indira Nagar central road, near Lubrizol company in Turbhe, Tapal Naka on Panvel-Uran road, Sector 50 in Seawoods, Sector 9 in Palm Beach road Nerul and Sector 15 in CBD Belapur.
