Ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Mumbai, Traffic restrictions announced

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Mumbai to kick off numerous projects, including the Mumbai Metro lines 2A and 7. The city’s traffic police therefore enforced traffic restrictions and appealed to commuters to plan their travel accordingly.

The Mumbai Traffic Police provided the following details on their Twitter handle:

(1.) Slow-moving southbound traffic is expected on the Western Express Highway (towards Bandra East) from 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm. From 5:30pm to 6:45pm there is likely to be slow-moving northbound traffic on the Western Express Highway (toward Andheri).

(2.) From 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM, traffic will slow down towards Colaba and from 5:30 PM to 5:45 PM towards Dahisar.

(3) From 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, large vehicles are prohibited from passing on all roads in the western suburbs of the financial capital, including the Western Expressway (WEH).

(4.) If you are driving on the WEH/Worli Sea Link and going through the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) grounds towards Kurla, you must go to the MMRDA junction and then proceed through the Dharavi T junction towards Kurla and Eastern Highway (EEH). do. .

(5.) For Kurla, drivers coming from Saint Dyaneshwar Marg via the BKC Municipal Income Tax Intersection should follow the Guru Nanak Hospital-Jagat Vidya Mandir Intersection-Kala Nagar Intersection via the Dharavi Intersection.

(6.) To get to Kurla from Kherwadi district via BKC premises, commuters must make a U-turn at Valmiki Nagar and pass through Government Colony -Kalanagar Junction-Dharavi T Junction.

(7.) Vehicles going from Razzak and Surve Junction to WEH, Dharavi and Worli Sea Link via BKC premises must be CST Road, University Main Gate, Ambedkar Junction and Hansbhurga Junction.

(8.) Vehicles traveling through EEH via the BKC connector in Chunabhatti must pass through the NSE intersection – Income Tax intersection – Family Court intersection – MMRDA intersection.
