Kerala makes covid masks compulsory! Covid is back?

The Kerala government has issued an order requiring people to wear masks in all public places, workplaces and gatherings.

The January 12 order also directed the state to take effective steps to ensure social distancing to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the state.

The government has also directed stores, theaters and various event organizers to set up hand washing facilities and sanitizer use facilities to ensure people are safe from potential virus attacks.

The order, issued amid concerns about a possible surge in Covid-19 cases nationwide, will be in effect statewide for 30 days, starting on January 12, 2023, it said.
