Bengaluru temperature drops to 12.8°C, lowest in three years! Know weather forecast

Residents of India’s IT capital are experiencing unusually cold weather with significant drops in mercury levels. The lowest temperature in Seoul on Sunday morning was 12.8 degrees Celsius, the coldest morning in four years.

The last time the city recorded its lowest temperature was on January 2, 2019, when mercury levels reached 12.4 degrees Celsius.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted cold weather for the city over the next few days, but the agency did not predict that the lowest temperature would exceed 13 degrees Celsius. Heavy fog is likely for the city over the next few days.

According to IMD data, the lowest recorded temperature in Bengaluru was 7.8 degrees Celsius on January 13, 1884. This was followed by 11.2 degrees Celsius on January 9, 1992 and 11.3 degrees Celsius on January 6, 1992; January 5, 1977 11.4 degrees Celsius; January 15, 1990 11.5 degrees Celsius; It recorded 11.6 degrees on January 19, 1993, 11.7 degrees on January 3, 1993, and 12.4 degrees on January 2, 2019.
As the chilly weather grips the city, some citizens expressed their discomfort on social media.

“Here in Bangalore it was only really cold at night, now it only starts in the evening and I can’t live without a sweater,” one Twitter user said. Another netizen, Sreelakshmi, wrote, “Why is the weather in Bangalore so strange? The sun is beating down on my face, but my hands and feet are shaking in the cold weather.”

People also shared images of the city being foggy in the morning. “It’s so cold in Bangalore, the ground doesn’t wake up before 8am,” said a Santhosh user.

During the morning hours, the city will experience a light to moderate fog or haze. The sky seems to be still clear.
