Huge amount of cash recovered from MLA’s car

Three Congress MLAs from Jharkhand with huge amount of cash have been detained in Howrah, West Bengal. Police said that a huge amount of cash was found in their vehicles.
The Congress has alleged that the MLAs have been given this money by the BJP to topple the government.

On the other hand, BJP has said that it exposes the corruption of the government running with the support of Congress in Jharkhand.

“Cash will be counted after the counting machine arrives”
Swati Bhangalia, Superintendent of Police, Howrah (Rural), said that an SUV was caught on National Highway 16 in Raniheti area with the words MLA, Jamtara Jharkhand written on it.
He said, “We have arrested three Congress MLAs from Jharkhand. These include Irfan Ansari, MLA from Jamtara, Rajesh Kachhap, MLA from Khijri and MLA from Kolebira. The cash recovered from them will be counted only after the counting machine arrives. ”

Police had received intelligence information about carrying cash
Sources said that the car was on its way towards Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Dum Dum, when the police caught it on the way. Apart from the three MLAs, two more people were in the car.

Police say that they had received intelligence that cash was being carried in this car. After this the checking of vehicles was started and this car was caught. The source of the money is being traced.

Congress’s allegation on BJP
Some Congress leaders termed it as ‘Operation Lotus’ of the BJP, linking the issue with cross-voting in the presidential election.

Congress media chief Jairam Ramesh wrote on Twitter that BJP’s ‘Operation Lotus’ in Howrah has been exposed. The ‘Hum Do’ plan of Delhi is the same in Jharkhand as they have done in Maharashtra.

Jharkhand Congress leaders have also made such allegations and called it a conspiracy to topple the government.

Jharkhand Congress chief Rajesh Thakur said in his statement that it has become clear that the BJP has been engaged in toppling the governments of non-BJP ruled states for a long time. People elect one party, but the government is formed by another party. The country should consider this.
He alleged that all these conspiracies are being hatched in Assam. Looks like there will be an attempt to topple the government during the monsoon session.

Senior BJP Bengal leader Dilip Ghosh has described the Howrah case as an “action against corruption” in Jharkhand. He alleged that corrupt parties like Congress and Trinamool Congress were opposing agencies like ED and CBI.
