To join the recruitment of Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB), complete the application process by 14 September.
There is good news for the youth preparing for government jobs. Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the notification for the recruitment of various posts in 12 departments of the state.
The process of application for these posts has started from August 14 and the last date for its application is September 14.
The candidates who are interested in these posts can apply by visiting the official website of the board.
How many posts will be recruited in which department?
According to JKSSB, 772 posts will be recruited under this recruitment drive whose complete details are given below:
- Forest Department – 523 Posts
- Animal Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department – 126 Posts
- Agricultural Production and Farmers Welfare – 30 Posts
- General Administration Department – 28 Posts
- Home Department- 23 Posts
- Transport Department – 17 Posts
- Tourism – 10 Posts
- Estate Department – 5 Posts
- Health and Medical Education – 4 Posts
- Civil Aviation Department – 2 Posts
- Law & Justice Department – 2 Posts
- Protocol Department – 1 Post
What should be the educational qualification?
In this recruitment process, the maximum number of posts of Inspector will be recruited, for which the candidate applying for graduation is mandatory.
Apart from this, it is mandatory for the candidate to pass in class 12 with Science subjects.
According to the notification, the height of male candidates applying for these posts should be 165 cms and the height of female candidates should be 150 cms.

What will be the selection process?
Candidates will be selected on these posts on the basis of written examination. However, physical efficiency test will also be conducted for some posts.
As per the notification of the commission, candidates will be asked optional type questions in the exam and the question paper will be in English language only.
Please note that there is also a provision of negative marking in the exam and 0.25 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer.
What should be the age limit?
The commission has said that the maximum age limit for the candidates of unreserved category applying for these posts has been fixed at 40 years.
Apart from this, the maximum age limit has been fixed at 43 years for SC, ST and EWS category candidates and 48 years for Ex-Servicemen.
At the same time, the maximum age limit is 42 years valid for the candidates of Divyang category.
How much is the application fee to be deposited?
General Category and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates applying for this recruitment to be held in Jammu and Kashmir will have to pay Rs 550 as application fee.
On the other hand, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Divyang category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 450.
