On Friday morning, air quality in Delhi improved with lowest temperature of 5.8°C and a high of around 19°C expected.
The lowest temperature recorded at the Safdarjung Observatory, which represents the Delhi weather, was about 3.2 degrees lower than normal. The lowest temperature recorded on Thursday was 7.8°C.
Minimum temperatures were expected to rise again from Sunday to Monday with new western disturbances that will affect Delhi. Light rain is also expected on Sunday.
Delhi recorded an hourly air quality index (AQI) of 258 at 10am. The 24-hour average AQI for Thursday was 298.
An AQI between 0-50 is considered good, 51-100 satisfactory, 101-200 fair, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor, and 401-500 very poor.
The AQI has the potential to deteriorate towards the lower end of the Very Poor category.
