Cold Wave continues with slight rise in Delhi temperature, know AQI and fog conditions

The lowest temperature recorded at Safdarjung, Delhi, was 5.9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning, amid widespread cold spells in parts of northern India.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), as of 6:10 am today, the visibility in the Palam area was recorded at 100m.

Flights delayed due to thick fog

Dense fog triggered by cold wave conditions lowered visibility over Delhi, further affecting flight movements.

All these flights from capital cities, including Delhi-Shimla, Delhi-Kathmandu, Delhi-Chennai, Delhi-Jaisalmer, Delhi-Baraili, Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Varanasi, Delhi-Srinagar, Delhi-Jaipur, Delhi-Guwahati got delayed.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘severe’ category on Wednesday morning, with an overall air quality index (AQI) of 421.
