Sha’Carri Richardson thrown off plane after argument with flight crew

An event she herself has documented by filming it, and publishing it on Instagram.

The American sprinter claims that the cabin crew acted rudely on Saturday when they – she names one as “John” – told her to end a call and put her phone on airplane mode just before the flight took off.

She didn’t like the way he addressed her. She didn’t like his tone, she expresses on Instagram.

Sha’Carri Richardson has 2.2 million followers on IG (Instagram). She will be one of the world’s best-paid athletes, with a very lucrative equipment and sponsorship deal with Nike – reportedly worth NOK 10 million per year.

She also got into arguments with fellow passengers, who did not like her performance, before being escorted off the plane. It is confirmed by a spokesman for the current airline, American Airlines, according to, among others, NBC News.

Sha’Carri Richardson has achieved the seventh fastest time of all time in the 100 meters (10.72 April 2021) and was considered one of the medal favorites ahead of the 2020 Olympic Games in 2021. However, she never made it that far. Before leaving for Tokyo, she tested positive for cannabis and was banned from competing for a month.

In an interview, she explained that she had used marijuana to ease the pain and “control her emotions” after the death of her biological mother.

One year later, she was to take revenge in the World Athletics Championships on home soil, but failed to qualify for the championships in Eugene in July 2022.
