IND vs WI: Big mistake of the last over, why the charge instead of Bhuvi? The captain told the reason

IND vs WI: Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that he will continue to support the young bowlers and will continue to give them a chance to show their skills at crucial moments of the match. This comment of Rohit came after the decision of giving the last over to young Avesh Khan during the second T20 International against West Indies. In this low-scoring match, India had to defend 10 runs in the last over, but Rohit gave the ball to Avesh instead of the experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar, whose first ball was a no-ball and the next two balls were hit for sixes and fours.

Big mistake of the last over

Rohit said after the match, it is related to giving opportunity. We know what Bhuvneshwar can do but if you don’t give a chance to Avesh or Arshdeep, they won’t know what it means to bowl in the death overs for India. He said, these players have played this role in the IPL. It’s just a matter of one match. They don’t need to panic. They need to be supported and given a chance.

The captain told the reason

Rohit also said that the Indian batsmen may not have done well on the wicket favorable for batting but they hope that they will soon return to their old form.
He said, we did not score many runs. We didn’t bat well. The pitch was good for batting but we could not bat well. But it happens.

Rohit said, I have been saying in the past that when you try to experiment something new, it is not always successful. We will look into our mistakes and try to rectify them.
West Indies fast bowler Obed McCoy took six wickets for 17 runs as the Indian team was bowled out for 138 runs. Rohit praised his bowlers for not allowing West Indies to reach the target easily.

Indian captain said, ‘I am proud of the team’

The Indian captain said, I am proud of the team. It’s not easy when you come down to defend such a small target. This target can be achieved in 13-14 overs but we took it till the last over. Taking wickets was important. We had devised a strategy accordingly and the bowlers implemented it. Rohit said, I am happy with the performance of the bowlers but there are some things in the batting which need to be taken care of. West Indies scored 141 for five to level the five-match series 1-1.
