CWG 2022: India got 14th medal, Lovepreet Singh won bronze in weightlifting

CWG 2022: India continues to perform well in weightlifting at the Commonwealth Games 2022. India’s Lovepreet Singh won the bronze medal in the 109 kg weight category lifting a record 355 kg. Cameroon’s junior Percyselx lifted 362 kg gold while Samao’s weightlifter won silver medal. This is India’s 9th medal in weightlifting and overall 14th medal in Commonwealth Games 2022.

India’s performance in weightlifting in the Commonwealth Games 2022 has been excellent so far and the team has won 9 medals in this game so far. Before Lovepreet Singh, Sanket Mahadev – Silver Medal, Gururaja – Bronze Medal, Mirabai Chanu – Gold Medal, Bindiyarani Devi – Silver Medal, Jeremy Lalrinnunga – Gold Medal, Achinta Sheuli – Gold Medal, Harjinder Kaur – Bronze Medal, Vikas Thakur – has won silver medal.

Lovepreet’s bronze medal is India’s 14th medal in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Apart from weightlifting, Sushila Kumari has won silver in judo, Vijay Kumar Yadav has won bronze in judo, women’s team has won gold in lawn ball, men’s team has won gold in table tennis and India has won silver in badminton.
