IPL schedule 2023: date, teams, broadcasters and all other details

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 will be held between April and March 2023. The tournament kicks off on March 22, 2023, right after Australia’s tour to India concludes.

Ten teams will participate in the tournament, including the previous season’s defending champions, the Gujarat Titans. Last December, a coveted league auction was held for teams to sign new players. Sam Curran turned out to be the most expensive player purchased by “Punjab Kings” for 18.50 crore.

The IPL 2023 league structure is expected to feature more matches than previous seasons which will be played in a double round format at various venues across India rather than just Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad as last season.

“Mumbai Indians”, “Gujarat Titans”, “Chennai Super Kings”, “Royal Challengers Bangalore”, “Sunrise Hyderabad”, “Rajasthan Royals”, “Punjab Kings”, “Delhi Capitals”, “Lucknow Super” Giants” and “Kolkata” Knight Riders” Will be the ones that are in the IPL race 2023.

The official broadcaster of IPL 2023 in India is Star Sports Network. That means users can watch all Indian Premier League 2023 matches on Star Sports channel. As Viacom 18 owns the digital rights to the tournament, live streaming of the match will be available on the Jio TV app. Outside of India, the tournament is broadcast on Times Internet and Viacom 18.

The 2023 Indian Premier League is the 16th season of the IPL. Since Tata will take on the role of sponsor for this IPL season, it will be named ‘TATA IPL’. The Indian Premier League is played in Twenty20 format. It was established in 2007 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). 2023 marks the 16th anniversary of this cricket tournament. The Indian Premier League tournament is divided into Group Stage and Prize Matches. A total of 74 matches will be played in this IPL season.
