During his century, Babar has completed 8,000 runs in his T20 career. He has become only the second Pakistani after Shoaib Malik (11,902) to reach the figure.

Babar took 218 innings to complete his 8,000 runs and became the second fastest player to reach this figure.

Babar shares record partnership with Rizwan

Babar and Rizwan had an unbeaten partnership of 203 runs, which is the highest opening partnership for Pakistan in T20 Internationals.

The two shared a 197-run partnership for the first wicket against South Africa in Centurion in April 2021.
