Rahul said – no one from Gandhi family will become president

Ashok Gehlot went to Kerala yesterday and met Rahul Gandhi.

Giving information about this, Gehlot said that he had last met Rahul Gandhi to request him to contest the elections. He told that the Congress units of many states want Rahul to take over the reins of the party.

To this, Rahul said that he respects the sentiments of the Congressmen, but no member of the Gandhi family will become the president of the party.

We are making a new beginning – Gehlot

Speaking to the media in Kerala, Gehlot said, “We are making a new beginning. The situation in the country requires a strong opposition. We will leave no stone unturned for that. After the election results are out. Together we will strengthen the Congress organization and will move forward on the basis of the ideology of Congress.

Gehlot said that he will soon announce the date of nomination.

What did Gehlot say on the question of Rajasthan?

For the last few days, the question is rising in the political circles that who will become the Chief Minister of Rajasthan after Gehlot becomes the President?

In response to this question, Gehlot said that it will be decided by Ajay Maken, in-charge of Rajasthan and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Maken and Sonia will decide when and how the next process will be done.

It is believed that Ashok Gehlot may oppose giving the command of Rajasthan to Sachin Pilot.

Gehlot ready to step down as Chief Minister

Till now it was being said that even if Gehlot is elected as the president, he still wants to remain the chief minister of Rajasthan. Now Gehlot has indicated that he is ready to step down as the chief minister if he becomes the president.

He said that till date in the history of Congress, no president has held the post of Chief Minister simultaneously. In such a situation, the decision will be taken on this basis.

Pilot’s name question postponed

Earlier, when Gehlot was asked about Sachin Pilot, he had said that he was not discussing anyone’s name. It is to be seen that the person who comes, sends a message that the party is united and is forming the government by winning the elections again. The high command will study the situation in Rajasthan and see what is the sentiment of the MLAs. This is a delicate decision for the party and it will be taken after due deliberation.
