Nitish Kumar contemplating breaking alliance with BJP
In Bihar, the coalition government of Janata Dal United (JDU) and BJP is on the verge of collapse. According to media reports, JDU chief and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may soon announce to break the alliance with the BJP amid the tussle between the two parties.
There is speculation that Nitish may form the government with the main opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and Left Front.
This arrangement is being made to avoid mid-term elections.
Nitish, RJD and Congress convened a meeting of the legislature party on Tuesday
These reports have come at a time when Nitish Kumar has called a meeting of all JDU MLAs and MPs on Tuesday. Apart from this, RJD and Congress have also called a meeting of their respective legislature parties.
It is being speculated that after these meetings the situation will be cleared and the three parties can come together and form the government.
According to the report, all the three parties will try to form the government before August 11.
