PM Modi Inaugurates Major Projects in Maharashtra worth Rs 11,200 Crore! Know what he said

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various developmental projects worth Rs 11,200 Crores in Maharashtra. He was scheduled to visit Pune but due to heavy rainfall the visit was cancelled and due to which he had to switch to video conference. He inaugurated the Pune metro station between District Court and Swargate which marks the completion of the Pune Metro Rail Project (Phase-1). According to officials, the cost of the underground section between District Court and Swargate is approximately Rs 1,810 crore.

Furthermore, he also laid the foundation stone for the Swargate-katraj extension of Pune metro phase-1. There will be a total of three stations that are market yard, Padmavati and katraj. The extension is 5.46 km and is completely underground and the project will cost around Rs 2,995 crore. Apart from that PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for a memorial as Bhidewada which will commemorate krantijyoti Savitribai phule’s first girls school. It is in the honour of Savitribai Phule who contributed immensely to women’s education and social reforms. PM Modi has highlighted how this memorial will have a skill development centre and other facilities.

Other than that, PM Modi inaugurated the upgraded Solapur Airport which is crucial for better transport and will eventually help with tourism along with facilitating business travellers as well as the common public. It has been reported that, the new terminal building is expected to serve around 4.1 lakh passengers annually.

Another project inaugurated by PM Modi is the Bidkin industrial area that spans across 7855 acres. The project that is developed under the Delhi Mumbai industrial corridor is the part of the national industrial corridor development program and is located 20 km south of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. It is expected that it will play a crucial role in making Marathwada into a significant economic hub. The cost of this project may exceed rupees 6400 crore and will be developed in three phases according to information available.

PM Modi gave a virtual speech in which he emphasized the need for big goals with new resolutions to upgrade Maharashtra. He talked about all the inaugurations and highlighted how the present government has completed several projects to aid Maharashtra. During the conference he said the following:

Today, Maharashtra requires bigger goals with new resolutions that will empower the state even more. Which is why it is important that we make cities like Pune the centre of urban development. Along with the development of the city, the population is also increasing however, it should not affect the city in a negative way but instead should increase the potential of the city. And this will happen only when Pune’s public transport is modern.

PM Modi also talked about women empowerment while he was talking about Savitribai phule’s first girls school, where he talked about how the government has created strict rules for women safety as well as hygiene which has directly decreased the number of drop outs by girls students. All of this has ensured women’s contribution in the society. He said

It is only when the doors of opportunity opened for women in every sector, then the real doors of progress opened for the country.

He and that has a speech by saying that he hopes that Maharashtra will continue to lead the nation and but he believes that we can together complete the aim of viksit Maharashtra viksit Bharat.
