Vande Bharat Express train between Bengaluru and Hubli-Dharwad arrives Bengaluru

Karnataka: Karnataka is getting ready to welcome it’s second Vande Bharat Express train, between Bengaluru and Hubli-Dharwad. As per reports, the train will be launched on June 26 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the date of inauguration of the brand new eight car Vande Bharat Express train. The train which was being manufactured in Chennai’s Integrated Coach Factory has already arrived to Bengaluru. It has been stranded at Bengaluru’s Krantivira Sangoli Rayanna (KSR) station.

The Vande Bharat train arrived Karnataka on Thursday ahead of its launch in the state. Till today, 19 Vande Bharat Express trains have been inaugurated in India. The latest one was between Mumbai and Goa inaugurated on June 3. The one that will be inaugurated in Karnataka will be the 20th Vande Bharat Express train in India. Train will run on the track for all days of the week except of Tuesday. The train timings have not been revealed yet. However, the train will start it’s journey from Yashwantpur railway station in Bengaluru and will have only one stop that is in Davangere route.

Moreover, as per reports the train will take around 7 hours to travel between Bengaluru and Hubli-Dharwad. Whereas, other trains take around 9 to 10 hours for travelling between Hubli to Bengaluru. However, Karnataka’s Jan Shatabdi Express takes approximately around same time to travel between both the destinations. This is the second one day Bharat Express train in the state. The first one was between Chennai, Bengaluru, Mysore. It was inaugurated in November last year by PM Modi.

Bengaluru Central MP PC Mohan shared a photo of the Vande Bharat Express train that has arrived at Bengaluru station. He wrote in a tweet along the train’s photo and said that “The arrival of the brand-new Vande Bharat Express train in KSR Bengaluru sets the stage for the launch of Karnataka’s second high-speed train, connecting Bengaluru and Hubballi – Dharwad.” The ticket price has not been revealed yet.
