Karnataka recorded 75 deaths post vaccination till March 15!

Karnataka: Karnataka is now highly concerned after 75 people died followed by covid-19 vaccination in the state till March 15, 2023. This information was shared by Union Health and Family Welfare ministry in the Lok Sabha after a MP from Andhra Pradesh asked question regarding the same.

As per the government, both covid cases as well as vaccination numbers were continuously being monitored with the help of a well-structured surveillance system under the Universal Immunisation Programme. The government data shows that 6,628 Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI), after the vaccination drive.

Which means although they suffered with medical occurrence after vaccination, it does not necessarily have a causal relationship to the vaccine. Till October 2022, 40,01,655 cases were confirmed in Karnataka among which 40,097 people died. And Karnataka has got 9.8 core doses of covid vaccines supplied for free. India in the last 24 hours recorded the highest number of Covid cases since October 2022.
