Moose Wala’s father said this after learning about detention of gangster Goldy Brar

The Canadian-based gangster was detained in California on Friday, a day after the father of Slain Punjabi rapper and politician Sidhu Moose Wala demanded $2 million in compensation for information on the whereabouts of top accused Goldy Brar. Moose Wala’s father welcomed the detention while admitting he was still waiting for official confirmation.

“There is no official information. Media reports have shown that Brar has been detained. If so, welcome,” Moose Wala’s father, Balkaur Singh, told media when asked for his reaction, as quoted by PTI News. . Singh had previously expressed dissatisfaction with the investigation into his son’s murder.

Meanwhile, Punjabi Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who is campaigning for the Aam Aadmi Party in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has confirmed the detention by US authorities. He said Brar, who is said to be the ‘ringleader’ behind the daylight murders, “will certainly be extradited to India” and will be detained by Punjab police “soon”.

“According to the treaty with the United States, we will definitely bring Goldy Brar to India so that families who have lost their sons and daughters can be comforted. Brar was a major mastermind and there are others whose records are with us,” he said.

Singh asked the center on Thursday to announce a bounty of 20 million rupees to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the accused gangster. “A Punjabi man recently fled Australia after killing a woman. Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu alias Sidhu Moose Wala was killed in a broad daylight murder in Punjab’s Mansa district on 29 May.

Satinderjeet Singh, better known as Goldy Brar, was a member of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang and claimed responsibility for the singer’s murder. A native of Sri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, he went to Canada on a student visa in 2017.

Punjab police issued a red corner notice (permitting the arrest and detention of fugitives abroad) against Brar.

Goldy Brar is also a key conspirator in the murder of a follower of Dera Sacha Sauda last month.
