Rahul Gandhi and many other Congress MPs detained by police during protest in Delhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and many other Congress MP’s have been detained by police as they were protesting in Delhi, against the central government regarding price rise as well as unemployment. Rahul Gandhi wearing black clothes was leading the protest inside the Parliament premises against inflation. In Delhi under section 144 the police had prohibited huge gathering but despite that the demonstration took place and even after Rahul Gandhi has been detained others have stood strongly continuing the protest.

However, BJP has stated that the protest is being held because of ED summoning them regarding National Herald case which has been denied by the Congress as they are saying that even before ED summoning they have raised these issues and have been protesting for a long time. The Pan India protest ‘Halla Bol’ has become a major issue right now as Rahul Gandhi says that he will keep doing it.

Rahul Gandhi further said “Our job is to resist these forces, our job is to make sure that Indian democracy is protected, our job is to raise issues of the people, of unemployment and we are doing that”.
