Another foreign national has been found infected with monkeypox in the country’s capital Delhi. This is the fourth total case of monkeypox in the capital, while the number of cases in the country has gone up to nine.
The latest case has been found in a 31-year-old woman. He has a fever and has also developed small lumps on his skin. The lady is admitted in Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital.
It is not yet clear whether he had traveled abroad or not.
Two foreign nationals were also found infected on Monday and Tuesday
Earlier on Monday and Tuesday, one Nigerian citizen each was found infected with monkeypox in Delhi.
Both of them used to work in a restaurant in the city. The person found infected on Tuesday was living in Delhi for several years.
The first case of monkeypox was reported in Delhi on July 22 and this person has now fully recovered.
