CWG 2022: India’s Bhavinaben Patel brings India gold in para table tennis women’s singles

Commonwealth Games 2022: India’s Bhavinaben Patel gets gold in para table tennis women’s singles classes 3-5. She has now become the Commonwealth Games champion from being a Tokyo Paralympic silver medalist after she defeated Nigeria’s Ifechukwude Christiana Ikpeoyi 3-0.

This gold won by Bhavinaben Patel is India’s 13th gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 which is going on in Birmingham. She became only the second para-athlete to win Gold after weightlifter Sudhir. Bhavina had got the world No. 2 ranking by winning the silver medal in the individual category at the 2011 PTT Thailand Open as well.
