Jio 5g introduced in 17 more cities, aims 100% coverage in all

Reliance Jio just announced that it has rolled out 5G in 17 cities in India. According to the company’s announcement, it has so far covered 257 cities with 5G. Today’s launch also focused on several cities in Himachal Pradesh. Jio today rolled out 5G in 17 cities across 7 states. The carrier is distributing 5G SA (Standalone) and is currently offering it free of charge to customers invited to the Welcome Offer. Jio’s Welcome Offer invitation is only available to customers who have topped up on the Rs 239 plan or above. The cities where Jio has launched 5G service are Ankleshwar, Savarkundla (Gujarat), Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Nadaun, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Chhindwara, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar (Madhya Pradesh), Akola, Parbhani (Maharashtra) and Bathinda. , Khanna, Mandi Gobindgarh (Punjab), Bhilwara, Sri Ganganagar, Sikar (Rajasthan), Haldwani-Kathgodam, Rishikesh, Rudrapur (Uttarakhand).

Customers need to own a smartphone that supports 5G SA to connect to Jio’s 5G network. Many 5G smartphones do not yet support Jio’s 5G, so make sure your device supports 5G SA before purchasing a new device.

Reliance Jio said that under the Welcome Offer, customers can enjoy truly unlimited data at speeds of 1 Gbps and above. SK Telecom plans to cover the entire country with its 5G network by the end of 2023.
