CUET UG: Most applications came for admission in Delhi University becoming first choice of the students

Admission in 90 universities will be available only through CUET UG 2022.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2022, which is being conducted in two phases, has received the maximum number of applications for admission to Delhi University.

Official data available with the National Testing Agency (NTA), which works under the Ministry of Education, shows that this year 90 universities using CUET scores for admissions have received a total of over 58.5 lakh applications.

Banaras Hindu University became the second choice of students after Delhi University

According to NTA, Delhi University is the first choice of students by receiving the maximum number of 6.63 lakh applications. After this, a total of 4.34 applications have come for admission in Banaras Hindu University and a total of 2.62 lakh applications have come for admission in Allahabad University.

Let us tell you that this is the first time that for admission in 90 universities, entrance exam is being conducted simultaneously.

Earlier, all the universities used to organize the admission process at their own level.

26.4 lakh applications came in 13 universities

Out of 58.5 lakh applications for CUET UG, 26.4 lakh applications have come for only 13 universities.

All these 13 universities are located in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan except Rajiv Gandhi University.

Apart from this, IIMT University tops the list of private universities with 1,68,439 applications followed by Galgotias University with 1,23,534 applications. Both these universities are also located in Uttar Pradesh.

1.8 applications for admission in Babasaheb Ambedkar University, Lucknow

If we talk about other central universities that have received more than one lakh applications, then the name of Babasaheb Ambedkar University of Lucknow also comes in them. A total of 1.8 lakh applications have come here.

Apart from this, 1.09 lakh applications were received for Central University Haryana and 1.11 lakh for Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in Uttarakhand.

At the same time 1.44 lakh applications have been received for Jamia Millia Islamia and 1.40 lakh in Rajiv Gandhi University in Arunachal Pradesh.

A total of 9.9 lakh candidates registered for CUET UG

As many as 9.9 lakh candidates have registered for this entrance exam being conducted by NTA, the score of which has been used by 40 Central Universities, two State Universities, 21 Private and 13 Deemed Universities across India.

According to the NTA official, when the subject combinations chosen by 9.9 lakh candidates are added, this number becomes 14 lakh, as each candidate will appear in multiple papers.
