B V R Subrahmanyam is the latest Niti Aayog CEO, replacing Parameswaran lyer

Former IAS officer B V R Subrahmanyam has now become the chief executive officer of Niti Aayog. Before he stepped up on Monday, Parameshwaran Iyer was in this position but now he has been made the Executive Director of World Bank.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet confirmed B V R Subrahmanyam’s appointment for a period of 2 years from the day he was assigned to the position as per Personnel Ministry order statement.

On the other hand, Iyer who was former CEO of Niti Aayog has been appointed as World Bank headquarters executive director for time period of 3 years in Washington DC, USA.

As Subramanyam has replaced Iyer, he will be replacing Rajesh Khullar who is from the 1988 batch of Indian Administrative Service IAS officer who has been repatriated to his cadre state Haryana, the order said.
