30 year old women’s eyesight lost due to excess use of smartphone! Doctor said this

A woman in her 30s has deteriorated eyesight due to using a smartphone for a long time. In a series of tweets, the Hyderabad-based doctor shared a case study of his patient, explaining how ‘Smartphone Vision Syndrome’ (SVS) occurred and how he corrected his eyesight.

“There were moments where she couldn’t see anything for a few seconds,” she says. This mostly happened at night when she got up to use her bathroom. She was evaluated by an ophthalmologist and detailed assessments were found to be normal. She was referred to rule out a neurological cause,” Dr. Sudhir Kumar said in a tweet.

He also said that his patient, Manju, started developing symptoms of vision problems after she quit her job as a hairdresser to take care of her child. She claimed to have turned off the lights in her room and used her smartphone for several hours, including more than two hours at night.

Instead of prescribing medication, the doctor consulted Majnu and suggested minimizing smartphone use. Manju was anxious that something sinister would happen to his cranial nerves, but eventually decided to take corrective action. “Instead of minimizing it, I won’t look at my smartphone screen unless absolutely necessary,” she says. Leisure,’ she said.

Manju regained her sight after a month of corrective measures, including temporary blindness at night. Kumar also suggested taking a 20-second break after using digital devices for 20 minutes. “Look 20 feet away while using a digital screen (the 20-20-20 rule) with 20-second breaks every 20 minutes,” he said.
