Bollywood film ‘The Kashmir Files’ is nominated for an Oscar 2023 announced filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri on Tuesday.
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, ‘The Kashmir Files’ revolves around the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits after the systematic killing of people in their communities by Pakistani-backed terrorists in 1990. The film was released in theaters in March of last year.
Starring Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi, the film created a huge controversy and was criticized by many.
It is one of the five Indian films that has been nominated for Oscar. The Other 4 are Kantara, RRR, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Chhello Show (last film show).
