Stree 2 has been creating several records after its release on 15 August. It’s been more than a month since the film’s release and still it’s still having a strong hold of audience. However, on September 20, a very strong contender for film Stree 2 was witnessed for the first time. Yes, the Marathi film Navra Maza Navsacha 2 has created a stirr in the theatres and has become a big problem for Stree 2. The Marathi movie that made 2 crores on its release day is in high demand which is why theatres are adding extra shows of Navra Maza Navsacha 2 due to high demand, with some allotting 2 to 2 ½ screens to it.

The Marathi movie has seen an upward trend in its box office collection as on day 2 the film earned Rs 2.44 crore. This becomes more interesting because on September 21, every film running in the theater saw a dip in its earnings as just a day before, the ticket prices were dropped to just Rs 99 due to national theatre day.

The price drop made it possible for almost all the films to witness house full scenarios on September 20 but that couldn’t last for more than a day for all films except one, that’s Navra Maza Navsacha 2. This suggests that the day 1 viewers loved the film and spread a good word for the film.

The effects of the Marathi film are harsh on other hindi films like Yudhra and Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam as their shows were reduced despite being new releases and also doing good on their respective opening days. Especially, several theatres in Marathi-dominated areas like Dadar, Matunga and Lalbaug have in fact discontinued Yudhra, which is a major drawback for the film. Not just that, almost all shows have been taken by the newly released Marathi film making films like Stree 2 as well as Tumbbad to get very limited screenings in these areas.

Navra Maza Navsacha 2 box office collection Day 3

It has come as a surprise that theaters like Regal Cinema and PVR Le Reve Bandra are running Navra Maza Navsacha 2 all day despite them never showing much interest in Marathi films. Moreover, the Day 3 earnings of the film Navra Maza Navsacha 2 was 3.85 crore (early estimate) as per popular news reporting site Sacnilk.

This is a huge jump for the film as the previous day’s collection (day 2) was around Rs 2.5 crores and shows that the film is set to do wonders. If this continues, the film may potentially surpass marathi blockbuster Baipan Bhari Deva (2023), which earned Rs. 12.50 crores in its first week. However, it would be difficult to beat Ved(2022) which earned Rs 20.67 crores

Cut-throat competition among new releases

Let us tell you that although the film Navra Maza Navsacha 2  is seeing an amazing upward trend in the box office, it might get hard at some point. This is because many releases will be there soon. With Dharmaveer 2 releasing on September 27, Devara starring Jr NTR, Jahnvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan coming soon and very anticipated film Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on October 11, it’s going to be a cut-throat competition.
