Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer ‘Pataan’ announced a special discount on movie tickets on Friday.
A special announcement was done by the makers of Pathaan that says “Patan Day is coming! #Pathaan hits 500 Crores on NBOC. Celebrate with us this Friday. Book tickets at flat rates of 110 rupees/- on all shows in India. This flat rate is applied at major theaters nationwide”. The film scored 500 million rupees at the domestic box office in all languages including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. In the same response, SRK asked producers to provide free popcorn as well. He said “Oh oh ab toh phir dekhni padhegi. That’s really nice. Thanks @yrf. Can you get some free popcorn too? No??”
Commentary on the tremendous success of the director of ‘Pataan’, Siddharth Anand said “It’s a little surreal, to be honest. I didn’t know anything else, so I was happy to be part of the industry and make films. And now you are being recognized even more. Take back cinemas, take back single screens, take back box offices, take back audiences… I am happy just to have my next job. And I can keep making movies.”
