Ved Box Office Collection Day 6: The pairing of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza once again wins at the box office. The duo’s Marathi film Ved, which is also Riteish’s directorial debut, is enjoying an unprecedented streak at the box office. The film kept a strong pace at the box office. Reportedly, in less than a week the film has already earned just over Rs 18 Cr.

Genelia and Riteish’s film had a slight viewership on Wednesday, but still managed to secure a sizable share of the audience. Initial trade reports indicated the film raked in over Rs 2 Cr. This makes the total of the movie Rs 18 Cr plus. The film is doing exceptionally well. Sharing about the film’s box office collection, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Marathi film #Ved continues to win… The trend is very good for day 5. In fact, day 5 is higher than day 1.. .This is not it. It will slow down soon… Fri 2.25 cr, Sat 3.25 cr, Sun 4.50 cr, Mon 3.02 cr, Tue 2.65 cr. Total: ₹ 15.67 cr.”

As well as Riteish and Genelia’s chemistry, the film also features a special guest appearance from Salman Khan. The superstar was filmed for a song in Ved.
The film also marks Genelia’s Marathi debut. Last December, Genelia revealed that she would be making her Marathi debut with her Ved. Sharing the video, the actress said, “I am blessed to be involved in films in many languages and to be loved and respected by everyone. Being born in Maharashtra, my heart has been wanting to do films in Marathi for several years and I have hopes there. This would be the script to say it all, and this happened: my first Marathi film, returning as an actor after 10 years, becoming part of my husband Riteish Deshmukh’s dream of directing for the first time. We got to share the space with our beautiful co-star Jiya Shankar, who will be introduced at House MFC. (sic)”
