What Chris Hemsworth would look like nearly 50 years from now

Chris Hemsworth gives fans a glimpse of what he’ll look like nearly 50 years from now.

The 39-year-old Hemsworth shared several photos from his “Limitless with Chris Hemsworth” series on Instagram on Friday, Jan. 27, depicting the actor in his mid-80s.

In the first photo, Hemsworth posed for a headshot with gray hair and beard, and a few fine lines and wrinkles along his forehead and cheeks. Another photo captured both Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, looking older.

One slide showed Hemsworth portraying an elderly version of his Marvel character Thor standing in front of a green screen in full costume, while the final photo captured him alongside his brothers Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth. Posing in front of a snowy mountain.

“Not bad to turn 85 in the blink of an eye!” Hemsworth captioned the post.

Hemsworth’s National Geographic series premieres on Disney+ on November 16, 2022. In its description on the streaming service’s website, the show asks the question, “What if we could fight aging and unlock the full potential of the human body?”

For the series, Hemsworth underwent multiple genetic tests. In the fifth episode of “Limitless”, he and Hemsworth discover that his genetic makeup contains two copies of the APOE4 gene, one from each parent. According to the US National Institute on Aging, APOE4 is the “strongest risk factor gene” for Alzheimer’s disease, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll develop the disease in the future.

In an interview with Willie Geist on the November 2022 “Sunday Sitdown,” Hemsworth called the news “a real shock” and said, “They dug deep into my blood tests and genetics… and Alzheimer’s disease.” risk category.”

However, Hemsworth said the genetic findings “have been a great incentive to make changes … pay attention to my sleep habits and pay more attention to stress management.”

In an interview with Vanity Fair that same month, Hemsworth explained how he discovered silver as he learned more about his genetic makeup during his series.

“The positives for me were like, ‘Okay, if I didn’t know this [Alzheimer’s] information, I wouldn’t have made the changes I made,’” he said. “I didn’t know anything about it, so I’m grateful that now I have some kind of tool in my arsenal to best prepare myself and prevent that from happening.”

Hemsworth also said that he was given the option to go through with the episode without mentioning his Alzheimer’s disease, but he decided to decline the option.

“‘No, I thought it would be fantastic if this would motivate people to take better care of themselves and understand that there are steps they can take,’” he said. “My concern was that I didn’t want to fabricate and exaggerate it, and make it some kind of hockey catch for empathy or entertainment.”

In the sixth and final episode of the series “Acceptance”, Hemsworth goes to a nursing home, where he is surprised to see his wife, who has undergone some aesthetic changes to alleviate her fears of aging in light of his news.

Pataky, 46, wore prosthetics on her face, neck and hands, and donned a brightly colored wig to show herself 40 years later, in her 80s. She surprised Hemsworth at her dance at her retirement home, with the actor saying that his wife saw her and said “she had tears in her eyes”.

“I think I will remember this moment forever.” It was so deep and so unexpected. I felt safe. It was so beautiful.”

“I want to live those years with you,” she said, seated next to her husband at her ballroom. We need those memories.”
