Will NEET PG 2023 be postponed? Doctor’s body request health minister to postpone exam

The United Doctors Front Association requested the postponement of the NEET PG-2023 test scheduled for March 5 in a letter to Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The cutoff date many interns still claim are not eligible to take the exam.

On 13 January, the Union Ministry of Health extended the deadline for MBBS internships to 30 June. Previously, the deadline for applicants to complete the mandatory one-year internship was March 31, 2023.

The Medical Association said major issues related to the early due date of the NEET PG-2023 have left medical students distracted and unable to focus on their studies.

“Sir, per the NBEMS Revised Internship Eligibility Criteria for NEET PG-2023, the internship completion date i.e. June 30 does not justify the ongoing internship placement criteria. An estimated 10,000 interns from many states are still ineligible for the NEET PG-2023 after the amendments.
