UGC started registration of four scholarships, know which and their eligibility

UGC has started the application process for four scholarship schemes for the students of the academic session 2022-23

If you are studying graduation or post graduation then there is a good chance for you to get scholarship.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has started the application process for four scholarship schemes for the students of the academic session 2022-23.

Interested and eligible candidates can avail these UGC scholarships by applying on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

The name of the scholarship, educational qualification and other information will be given to you below.

UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship

Students whose annual family income does not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh can apply for UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship. Apart from this, it is mandatory for the student to be a resident of the North-East state.

Under this scholarship, students pursuing general degree courses will get Rs 5,400 per month while students pursuing technical, medical, professional or paramedical courses will get Rs 7,800 per month.
The last date to apply for this scholarship is 31 October.

Indira Gandhi

UGC PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship (For Single Girl Child)

Under UGC PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship, financial assistance is given to girls who are enrolled in the first year of post graduation course from a recognized university and are the only child of their parents. In this scholarship, importance is given to the backward-poor families.

Under the UGC PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship, the selected girl students get Rs 36,200 per year.
The last date to apply for this scholarship is 31 October.

UGC PG Scholarship for University Rank Holders

UGC PG Scholarship for university rank holders is given to the students who have graduated from a recognized university with 1st or 2nd rank and have taken admission in a post-graduation course.

Let us inform that after getting selected under this scholarship, the candidates get Rs 3,100 per month.
The last date to apply for this scholarship is 31 October.

UGC PG Scholarship for SC, ST Students

This scholarship is given to such students of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category who are pursuing a professional course from an institute recognized by the UGC.

Let us inform that after selection under this scholarship, students who have done Master of Technology (MTech) will get 7,800 per month while students pursuing other courses will get 4,500 per month.
The last date to apply for this scholarship is 31 October.

How to apply for scholarship?

Visit the National Scholarship Portal website www.scholarships.gov.in.

After that click on the registration link available on the home page.
Now a new page will open where candidates have to login and enter their details.

After this enter the requested information and the scholarship scheme for which you want to apply.
Now click on submit and your registration will be completed.
After that download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy of it for future reference.
