JEE Main results: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the results of the 2023 Joint Admission Test (JEE) Main for Paper 1 (BE/BTech). Candidates who have taken the exam can check the results on the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in and ntaresults.nic.in) by providing their application number and date of birth. The JEE Main cutoff for general category candidates this year is the 90.77 percentile.
The categorical cutoff marks for JEE Main 2023 are 75.6229025 for EWS, 73.6114227 for OBC, 51.9776027 for SC, 37.2348772 for ST, and 0.0013527 for UR-PH. The NTA calculates the JEE main cutoff percentile till 7 decimal places to minimize the potential for ties between candidates as the number of candidates can be very large. A normalization process is used to convert test takers’ raw scores to percentile scores, so that no test taker is penalized because of the difficulty of the question paper on a test rotation.
It should be noted that NTA has only published results for Report 1 (BE/BTech). Awaiting the results of report 2 (BArch/BPlanning). Students are advised to keep a close eye on the official website for updates related to the announcement of the results of JEE Main 2023 Paper 2. Overall, the JEE Main exam is an important step for engineering aspirants to enter various engineering colleges across India.
