Royal Enfield lovers especially those who are looking for a motorcycle in the 400 to 450 CC segment have recently got two major options to choose from. The motorcycles like the 2025 Triumph Speed 400 and royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 are some of the latest options available in this segment. Since both the vehicles serve different kinds of audience it is important to know what are the major differences between the two. While determining a choice, the price, features, design, specifications, hardware become really crucial so let’s compare both the vehicles to understand which one would suit you the best.

Let us first understand the pricing of both the speed 400 and guerrilla 450. The Triumph has been priced at Rs 2.4 lakh (ex-showroom) whereas Guerrilla 450 has been priced almost the same, that is Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom). This minor difference in the pricing has put the customers into pickle making it even hard to choose between the both. Now let’s understand the performance of both the motorcycles.

Specifications of Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 and Triumph Speed 400

The Triumph speed 400 features a 398 cc engine which is single cylinder and liquid cooled. On the other hand, the Guerrilla 450 comes with a 450 CC single cylinder engine which is also liquid cooled and this shows that there is not much difference in the engine of both the vehicles. Similarly the power of both the vehicles is the same which is 39 BHP at 8000 RPM. Moreover, we can see that there is not a very huge difference in the torque as well because the Triumph speed 400’s torque is 37.5 nm at 6500 RPM whereas the other has 40 nm at 5500 RPM. Finally,  triumph speed 400 has 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and guerrilla has 6-gearbox with slip and assist clutch .

Furthermore, the design of the motorcycle is a very important criteria for many customers so let’s take a look at the same. The Speed 400 will provide a 43 mm upside-down forks with 140 mm travel in the front. Then at the rear, monoshock suspension features 130 mm travel. The brakes have a  dual-channel ABS with 300 mm disc at the front and at rear, it has a 230 mm disc. Triumph gives 17-inch wheels with road tires in this motorbike. Then guerrillas have front suspension which is 43 mm upside down forks along with 140 mm travel. Talking about rear suspension, it’s having linkage-type monoshock with 150 mm travel. About the brakes, it has a 310 mm disc on the front with a dual-channel ABS along with 270 mm disc at the rear.

Some features of the triumph are that it has a switchable traction control for different riding requirements. It comes with a USB-C charger which makes it convenient for the customer. The guerrilla has some advantages with advanced features like the tripper Dash and most importantly a fully digital display with Google maps in it. Not just that, it also offers WiFi connectivity and has multiple riding options. And one of the same features is that bithnthe motorcycles provide LED lighting.

At last talking about the weight of both the motorcycles, the triumph is comparatively lighter than guerrilla as the guerrilla 450 comes along with off-road setup. However, the exact weight of the vehicles have still not been revealed. Let’s tell you a major difference between the bikes. The Triumph is more for a city and highway comfort whereas the Guerrilla targets off-roading while having superior terrain adaptability. So, the decision can be made according to your riding preferences.
